Enjoying a Phonics for Four Year-Olds end of course party
'Phonics for Four Year-Olds' was set up in 1993. Its aim was to teach pre-school children to recognise the letters of the alphabet, and how to use them to read and spell words.
Our teaching, both in person and postally, is systematic, thorough and, above all, HUGE FUN! We believe in providing activities which are exciting and attractive. The fantastic Jolly Phonics scheme has been brought to life by the creation of a series of unique crafts to represent each of the stories. Whether it be tattoos of ants crawling up your arm (also available to purchase online), making your own castanets which click, or a 3D sailor who can really salute, the strong visual impact of these craft activities serves to greatly enhance phonic learning.
The phrases 'Synthetic Phonics' and 'Fast Phonics First' are very recent ones but, in truth, they have been the basis on which Phonics for Four Year-Olds has been built since its inception in the early nineties.
